Wow! It is officially our FIFTH year hosting the winner of the GoodGood Giving competition!
Time has flown, and over the years we’ve welcomed some incredible people through our gates. Each year, we’ve tried our best to make sure their prize experience is one to remember.
Take a look at our past winners and the wonderful time they all had on their trips to South Africa:
This year was a particularly special one with our winners from Poland, Ela and Stefan. Being supporters of the Foundation for some time, they were lucky enough to win the competition draw and be flown down to South Africa for a few days at the sanctuary, Kruger National Park, and Cape Town.
They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was so lovely to be able to offer them this experience that clearly meant so much to them. So much so, that they ended up getting engaged while here!
This is the lovely message we received from them after their time with us:
We would like to begin by expressing our sincere and heartfelt thanks to you and the entire team at the Kevin Richardson Foundation for the exceptional organization and care throughout our entire trip.
From our perspective, it is clear how much time, effort, and resources were invested in preparing every detail. We were truly impressed by the level of professionalism and the high standard of everything that was arranged for us. It was an incredibly intense and meaningful experience.
During the last few days we spent in Kruger Park, we were disconnected from the internet, which is why we could not send our thanks earlier. In a way, however, this allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience.
We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to personally meet Kevin Richardson and spend such a wonderful day together. It was truly special for us, and we greatly appreciated being able to see his work with our own eyes.
From the very first day at the sanctuary, we were amazed. Being able to see with our own eyes animals we had previously only known from videos was unforgettable. On the second day, we embarked on an incredible adventure, taking part in rhino collaring alongside Kevin – an experience that was both exciting and deeply moving. Each day brought new emotions and unforgettable moments. We would also like to sincerely thank you for the delicious food that made our stay even more special.
Our journey then took us to Cape Town, which made a huge impression on us with its unique atmosphere. We were also very impressed by the hotel and the overall organization of our stay. Our excitement remained high throughout the entire trip, and time seemed to pass incredibly quickly, as it was filled with so many fascinating and meaningful experiences.
Visiting the Cape of Good Hope, seeing ostriches and penguins in their natural environment, and admiring the breathtaking mountain views were truly special moments. As people who deeply love animals and nature, these experiences are beyond words. The landscapes we encountered were simply unforgettable.
We also had the chance to visit Stellenbosch, which impressed us with its beauty and atmosphere. Spending time in the mountains and experiencing nature so directly turned out to be a truly meaningful and even life-changing moment for us, which is reflected in the attached photo
Another dream came true with our visit to Kruger National Park. The place where we stayed and the atmosphere we experienced there exceeded all our expectations. Being so close to nature for such an extended time was something truly extraordinary.
One of the most powerful experiences for us was the walking safari. It is completely different from a traditional vehicle safari – far more intense and immersive. The opportunity to experience both forms, especially as a surprise, made it even more special. Seeing animals in both ways is truly unforgettable.
Now, after returning to Poland, we are still deeply moved. It almost feels surreal that all of this really happened. These are memories we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
Once again, we would like to thank Kevin and the entire team for this incredible opportunity, for the flawless organization, and for being such warm, easy-going, and wonderful people. We are truly grateful to have been part of something so meaningful.
We have been supporting your foundation for some time now, and this experience has only strengthened our desire to continue doing so and to share your mission with others.
We already miss you and sincerely hope that we will have the chance to meet again. We would love to return and relive this extraordinary experience.

We love being able to offer this experience to our supporters, and seeing the core memories that are made and being able to share the magic of our wonderful country makes it all the more worthwhile.

Why We Fund Flights
So many tools are needed to stay on top of the rampage of poaching. But one tool that often flies under the radar is the critical use of light aircraft and flights into game reserves. We have been asked: Why not use drones instead? And this is a very valid question, as on the surface it seems like they could do the same task of surveillance and ground cover at half the cost. Knock knock! Who’s there? Some surprise visitors, you say? That’s right - recently we had two beautiful lionesses make a pitstop at the sanctuary on their way to being released into Dinokeng Game Reserve!
