Download and play your Sound Safari mp3 files:

TO DOWNLOAD YOUR FILES:

  • Click on the link provided in your Donor Receipt email.
  • Open files in whatever media player you have on your phone/computer.

If you don’t have a media player – we can recommend these free media players:

  • VLC (MAC OS and Windows, Android) download
  • Media Monkey (Android, Windows –download
  • WinAmp (MAC AND ANDROID) – search in your relevant App Store / Google Store
APPLE MUSIC AND SPOTIFY

If you want to add these files to a playlist in your music app (Eg. Spotify) – please note this is not a simple process. We cannot provide technical support as everyone has different phones, computers, browsers, players and operating systems. We have, however, provided some guidelines on how to import .mp3 files into Apple Music and Spotify (please note, this is easiest done on desktop computer and can be tricky to add to one’s phone)

APPLE MUSIC – ADDING .mp3 files

  1. Download your MP3 files to your computer (make sure you are aware where they have
    been saved)
  2. Open Apple Music on your computer.
  3. Click on File on the top left
  4. Click on Import
  5. Find and select the MP3 files that you downloaded
  6. Click open
  7. Navigate to Songs on the left
  8. Your MP3 files should be displayed

If you are subscribed to Apple Music, you can access these files on your iPhone once you
have added them to Apple Music on your computer via the above instructions.

In order to access them on your iPhone, complete the following steps:

  1. Click on the Account tab on the top left of your screen
  2. Check that you are logged in to the same iCloud account as your iPhone
  3. Click on the Music tab at the top left of your screen
  4. Go to Preferences
  5. Go to General
  6. Tick the Sync Library box
  7. Go to Apple Music on your iPhone
  8. Go to Library
  9. Turn on Sync Library
  10. After a few minutes your sound files should appear under library

SPOTIFY ON IOS AND ANDROID PHONES – adding .mp3 FILES

    1. Make sure your Phone is NOT on low battery mode
    2. Go to Spotify App – Home
    3. Click on top left Profile Picture/button
    4. Click on Settings and Privacy
    5. Scroll down to the bottom to ‘Local Files’
    6. Turn on “show audio files from this device”

      *If you cannot turn this on – you need 1. Update your app and/or 2. Go to Settings, scroll down to
      Spotify app and TURN ON “Allow Background Refresh”

    7. It should now notify you that Local files are added
    8. Find “Local Files” in your Playlists – and add tracks from your file source

If you are having problems with this – please use the Spotify App on your desktop
computer and follow these instructions:

  1. Download the .mp3 sound files and create a folder for them in your Documents
  2. Open the Spotify app on your computer
  3. Go to Home > click on Profile Icon (top left)
  4. Go to “Settings”
  5. Scroll down to “Library”
  6. Turn on “Show local files”
  7. Click on “Add a source”
  8. Find and Select the your music files folder (the ENTIRE folder)
  9. Click “Open”
  10. A playlist called “Local Files” should appear in your Spotify library
